The East Coast Greenway connects the follows trails throughout Connecticut: Air Line Trail, Hop River Trail, and Farmington Canal Heritage Trail
East Coast Greenway is pretty amazing, it’s 56 miles through CT and stretches from the southern border of CT/NY to the CT/RI border where it then continues as the Southwick Rail Trail. Most of the trail is Asphalt, crushed stone, gravel, grass, and cinder. It’s usually a pretty wide trail and very easy walking. Lots of bikers and runners on this trail.
There are lots of pups on this trail as well as people. It’s a rather wide path and it intersects with many busy streets so keep your pup close to you.
