Bangor City Forest Trail Map

Bangor City Forest – Bangor, ME

Bangor City Forest is a forest of a bunch of combined easy hikes, totaling about 17 miles. We did the Ease/West loop which is the loop of trails that go around the outside of the forest excluding the bog walk because dogs aren’t allowed in that area. The entire loop is about 4 miles and a super-easy walk. It was a very scenic walk with wide paths and lots of bikers, children, and puppies all around.

The forest is accessible via Kittredge Road and Tripp Drive. Kittredge Road is at the intersection of Hogan Road and Stillwater Avenue, near the Bangor Mall. Tripp Drive is off Stillwater Avenue, 1.6 miles north of the junction of Stillwater Avenue and Hogan Road, just before the kennel and concrete factory. If you’re coming from the south on the interstate, you can take either Exit 186 (Stillwater Avenue) or Exit 187 (Hogan Road). If you’re coming from the north on I-95, take Exit 187.

Hiking Bangor City Forest with your pup

This was a very dog-friendly park and they even had poop bags at the parking area. Java loved the wide paths and all the friendly people on the hike. Definitely recommend a visit for an easy day hike.
