Dike Mountain – Acadia National Park, ME

Dike Mountain was a fun, less-traveled mountain in Acadia to summit. We took the Cadillac South Ridge Trail from Cadillac Mountain over to Dike Mountain Summit. Cadillac South Ridge trail is a really beautiful trail with lots of exposed rocks and 360 views on all sides. It was probably one of my favorite trails in all of Acadia for its natural beauty.

The trail over from Cadillac Mountain wasn’t very difficult. The summit is just passed the intersection of Canon Brook Trail and offers pretty nice views at the summit

Hiking Dike Mountain with you pup

This was a very dog-friendly hike and Java enjoyed leaving the crowds of Cadillac to the lesser-traveled Dike Mountain. I would be careful of your pup’s paws on all the exposed rocks as it did get hot as the late afternoon sun really beats down on the area.
