Mount Liberty

Mount Liberty – White Mountains, NH

Elevation: 4,459 feet

Mount Liberty boasts incredible vistas and multiple routes to reach the summit. You can combine Liberty with a brief day hike while also conquering Mt. Flume. As you descend from Mt. Flume, you’ll lose around 500 feet before ascending again, making it a bit challenging but absolutely worthwhile.

This hike is dog-friendly, but exercise caution as the Flume Slide Trail can be quite steep. Java managed without difficulty, but some of the rock scrambles can be rather steep. Additionally, descending the Liberty Spring Trail is steep as well. With a rapid loss of elevation, it’s essential to move slowly and be mindful of slippery rocks.
