Henry Park

Henry Park – Vernon, CT

Henry Park doesn’t have trails to hike but it does have open fields and a nice tower at summit for some nice vistas! I often play Frisbee with my pup here and just let him run around if it’s not crowded. Great spot to watch the sunset as well. Unfortunately, like I said, no trails and isn’t that big but the tower is worth checking out.

During the summer and nicer months, this park does get really crowded. It has a bunch of sports fields. Also, it has a pool so the summer is its busiest season. During the winter, it has some great hills for sledding. However, all year long, I do see a lot of pups playing around Henry park. It’s a good “throw the ball” spot.
