Cadillac Mountain is the highest point along the North Atlantic seaboard – With an elevation of 1,530 feet – and therefore a must-see when visiting Acadia National Park. Cadillac is a unique summit too as you can drive to the top so be ready for large crowds and lots of people/pets running around. The summit road meanders along the North and eastern side of the mountain for approximately 3.5 miles until reaching the top.
The views from Caddillac mountain are really amazing and it is actually the first place to view the sunrise in the United States from October 7 through March 6. Mars Hill and West Quoddy Head are also places that share that title for the rest of the year.
