Mount Waumbek

Mount Waumbek was a fun day hike. It took us about 5 hours total for this hike. The hike starts off very easy and the entire trail is very well marked. The hike doesn’t really start to get much incline until the last two miles up to Mt. Starr King Summit. The mile between Mt. Starr King and Mount Waumbek is a pretty easy mile as well.

There aren’t views at the summit, just a large cairn pile. We did get some views in spots along the trail though.

This was a very dog-friendly hike and a good introduction hike to the white mountains 4k footers as it is one of the easier 4k footers to hike. We saw lots of pups hiking this trail as it’s a popular one for pups and families.
